I recently bought this monitor LG32gk650F-B to hook up to my macbook pro 15 inch 2016 model. I bought a usb-c to display port to get the 144hz. I use it on clamshell mode so I can have take advantage of the larger screen real estate to type papers and read my pdf files. Why do I have to reset it to 144hz everytime after I turn my macbook off? Also why doesn't my monitor turn on automatically when I turn my macbook on? Its like I have to log on for my monitor to turn on or sometimes I have to unplug the usb-c to display port cable and plugging it back in for my monitor to get signal? The monitor is great and works really well at 144hz even at 60hz, but just sucks I have to do that everytime for it to work.
