I've had my ACD hooked up to my MBP forever. But I find that I actually only use one screen really, since spaces exist now, unless i watch a movie while working.

Anyways, I know how to drag the menu bar over to the monitor you want.

But, is there anyway to turn off the MBP's screen without having to close it?

Thanks.

I do know if you turn off the screen by using an external screen and keyboard then when you open the macbook you can use it without turning the screen back on.

You could always turn the brightness on the MBP all the way down, though the image would still be there...prob. not what you're wanting but that would work
