Hi guys,
I've been experiencing two issues that have really been bugging me ever since I started using external monitors.
I have a 2019 MacBook Pro 13" with Touch Bar hooked up to two Dell monitors, one via HDMI and one via Mini DisplayPort, using a LandingZone docking station.
The first issue is that the screens turn on randomly. I put my computer to sleep (either via Apple logo -> Sleep or ⌥ + ⌘ + ⏏) and leave the room, only to return a few minutes later to discover that the screens have turned on again. This happens pretty much every time. Sometimes the screens turn back off on their own, sometimes not.
The second issue is that sometimes when the screens turn back on, it's at the lowest possible resolution. The only way to solve this is to open the MBP's lid, wait a second and close it again. This also happens when I wake my computer from sleep manually, not only when the screens turn on on their own.
At the moment I have no choice but to turn off both monitors every time I leave the computer, which is obviously not ideal.
Has anybody experienced this before and found a solution?
Thanks,
Tom
