I am about to purchase my first MBP for college. I have decided to go high end 15", hi res antiglare, 4gb ram (aftermarket upgrade), and then 128gb ssd. My question is this 1. Is it more economical to just go external and get more space? Or 2 is it worth it to just get a 1 T.B optibay and even if i do get optibay is it really difficult to install and then restart your system.?

I appreciate all the advice guys You are the experts.

Oh and is my configuration alright.

I'd recommend external unless you have to have it internal. First problem is that 750GB is the max for optibay at this point, plus you void your warranty doing that.

what external do you think would be best/fastest a link would be much appreciated.
