Hi there,
What External/Portable SSD models have Power loss protection? (I think, PLP is a must for the OS on an external SSD.)
What External/Portable SSD models work well with Mac Mini 2018 and Mac OS 10.15+?
Actually, I would like to buy Portable SSD: either WD/Sandisk or Seagate/LaCie, or Samsung, but I'm not sure that they can survive a power failure during file write processes without corruption.

If by PLP you're meaning end-to-end protection whereby pending writes that are in the drive's DRAM cache will be written to Nand, I'm not aware of any consumer SSDs that have this.

If you really need PLP, I think you're looking at Data-Centre grade SSDs (eg Samsung SM863a)...but these obviously don't come in external/portable USB guises.

You may be able to put a DC grade SATA into an external USB enclosure, but it's not certain that it'd give you the PLP you're looking for. You'd need to test this for yourself.
