external powerbook g4 battery charger

hi

my dc in board on my 15" alu powerbook g4 is busted but the machine powers up off the battery and really i do not want to take the thing apart ):

does anybody know of a cheap solution to charge my battery ?

external battery charger ?

or any bodge means possible i will try

better than paying £400 pounds to reaplce this part ):
