I am migrating from an old Mac Pro with 4 x 4TB drives in it to a 27" iMac. I want to pull the drives out of the Mac Pro and put them in a external storage device. I was thinking of getting a RAID enclosure like one of these. Mediasonic HFR2-SU3S2 PRORAID Box 4 Bay or the QNAP TR-004. Anyone use any of these products? Pros and Cons to either one?

I have a total of about 7-8TB of data. I figure if I could move these 4TB drives to a RAID enclosure, that would give me about 12TB of storage and have a redundant drive. It would be primarily used for storage of media files (movies, music, pictures, etc.). These files won't be manipulated much, as my iMac will also be acting as a iTunes server for my Apple TV's, or Plex playing. So I don't need break neck speeds, just solid storage that won't disconnect, etc.

Any advice or other products people would recommend? Thanks in advance?
