So for the longest time I had my Mac Pro connected to a 1920x1200 24" Apple Cinema Display.
I also have it connected to a 40" 1080p Sony TV using VGA (I use a DVI adaptor in the Mac).
The TV would always display 1366x768 and the monitor would display 1920x1200 and all was good...
Today I upgraded to Mavericks and now the TV can only display 1400x1050 which is NOT widescreen! The resolution selection box for the TV aka 2nd monitor aka external monitor doesn't list 1366x768 anymore.
How can I get my old resolution back on my TV? The 4:3 aspect ratio is garbage. I don't care if the res is higher when the screen real estate for watching is smaller.
Oh, and this is the only way I can connect - no HDMI, no DP, so please let's stay w/ the facts I listed.
Thank you!
