Hi,
I am looking for a good (in sense of sound quality) external sound card for Macbook (currently using IBM with Audigy2 Notebook card).

Main purpose: audio/mp3 listening. I cannot use digital out because my amplifier (creek) doesnt support it. I am currently considering Edirol UA-1EX.

Any suggestions? Thanks for help!

Michael

I dunno whether it is possible to get a USB sound card, but try Google.;)

M-Audio sell a few different FireWire and USB driven sound processors that would work for you. They're quite good.

If there is a problem it's that they seem to be the only manufacturer supporting Mac OS X with consumer level audio equipment, unless you consider USB headsets.
