Hey im new i just got my macbook pro 13" and im goin to be using it as my desktop but i ran into a problem. I want to run my 5.1 surround sound on it but it has 4 plugs goin into my desktop and my laptop obviously only has one headphone jack. I have a Logitech X-540 70 watts 5.1 Speaker. I have been looking at usb sound cards and stuff but i need it to be compatible with a xp and mac os x. Any help would be much appreciated.

There are a lot of products like that, RadioShack makes one that is less octopus looking. You won't have true surround sound, you will simply have the same amount of noise coming out of every speaker. Which is fine for some people, not so fine for others...
