As all you know, iMacs don't support surround sound, which usb device would you guys suggest to get. Keep in mind that I may also get the EyeTV 250 so the sound card will need to work with this as well. I'm sure there's no problem, but I havn't done too much research yet. i should also add I'm considering getting a Wii, so i'd like to be able to hook it up to my iMac as well.

Hi. I bought the Griffin Firewave for my MacBook. It takes the firewire output from the computer, and allows for 5.1 surround sound. I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but it seems like it should work pretty well.

If you want to connect the Wii to the speakers, you won't be able to do it directly to the Firewave. However, a lot of speakers have inputs for external devices.

Creative Labs offers several USB sound cards that will work. However, whether the EyeTV will work with a USB soundcard is something you need to check out.
