Hey guys,
I have two sets of speakers, one is a 2.1 and the other is just two speakers. I would like to create a surround sound setup, but I have no means of doing that with only my late 2008 unibody macbook pro. I was looking at the Creative X-Fi Surround 5.1, but I am not sure as to whether or not it is mac compatible. If so could you recommend any other usb external 5.1 cards? Thanks!! :D

Amazon is a good bet...

Check Amazon. They have really good prices on Mac stuff. http://www.amazon.com/Apple-Computers/b?ie=UTF8&node=565124

while were on the subject i would like to know as well. the quality is good through my sennheiser hd 555's. but i wanna see if an external sound card would actually make a difference.

i would suggest this sound card: ESI GIGAPORT HD

That looks like the perfect card, thanks! I don't know why I had so much trouble finding one. I was wondering, though, about the quality of the card, given that it is $100. Have you ever used this card, if so, what are your thoughts on it's quality? Thanks
