External sound volume control problems

Since updating to iOS 16 the volume control on my SE2020 sometimes "jitters" in the UI (e.g. the bar moves quickly one step up/down) when connected to an external device like a homepod mini. Also, sometimes some homepods don't play at all unless you connect to other devices first to "reset" the connection.

I also had the volume turn down to zero or all the way up by itself when connected to a BOplay Bluetooth speaker.

Anyone else seeing this?

The Volume UI-glitch looks like this, btw. Seems to be independent from the playback device. Sometimes it's doing this all the time.
