Firstly I'd like to say I have searched google and the forums and can't find anything which helps with my problem...

I have jus bought X540 5.1 Logitech Speakers and have been playing them through the headphone slot on the macbook and using the matrix mode to make it 5.1 surround sound but I was told by using an external sound card I could get better quality sound..

So I bought a Sound Blaster Surround Sound 5.1 card from creative: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Creative-70...rround/dp/B000KFQTD2/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

I can't figure out how to get the macbook to recognize it and play music through my speakers? I've plugged the 3 plugs from the back of the subwoofer into the soundcard at the back like it says and I've plugged in the USB to the mac...

Am I missing something? The mac just continues to play from the macbook speakers...

What do I need to do??

Cheers in advance.
