Not sure how much the Harman Kardon soundsticks are in the US but they are great speakers with deep bass.
If you have a mac, maybe you should extend that little bit extra to compliment it with some nice speakers :)

I have the JBL Creatures II. You could pick them up for $59 I believe. Check out dealmac.com

I have bought 4 of those JBL Creature II speakers. Two are mine for my machines at home, another for my brother, and one more for an uncle. They look and sound beautiful.

The first two Creature IIs I bought were at original MSRP. The last two, I got directly from Harmon at their eBay store. They sell a whole bunch of audio stuff at a fraction of the cost. The Creature IIs from eBay were remanufactured, but hey -- this is coming straight from Harmon's factory and it includes the original warranty. I think the most expensive one I got ended with my bid of $32 + 11 shipping.

Anyway, just check their eBay store before you go buying anything.

I picked up the Bose Companion 2's yesterday. I had a "bank error in your favor" in that they rang up as $49.99 instead of $99.99 at Fry's. One of their sales reps came over and told me that he'd noticed it a few hours ago and hadn't told anybody yet. Thank you sir! :)

Logitech z2300

two speakers plus subwoofer

tons of power, great sound, thx certified.

you'll be closer to $120 than 100, but it is totally worth it.

edit: at buy.com you can get them way cheaper

don't even bother with soundsticks when you could have these!
