I recently purchased a 22" Gateway display. I am considering buying the speaker-bar accessory, but I was wondering if it will work with my computer. I have a Black, 2.4GHz MacBook but I'm not exactly sure how or if the speakers will work on my MacBook.

Also, I have a second question. The monitor (link: http://www.gateway.com/programs/widescreen/22_overview.php?cmpid=topnav_displays) has HDMI and the site says it can play television, but I'm not sure how that works. How exactly would I change the channel or set the TV up on the monitor?

Im assuming it means if you plug in a set top box with HDMI, you can use it as a TV, not that the monitor has a tuner built in.

well if the speaker bar attaches to the gateway display, it will do so by an analog jack green/pink connector and probably be powered by USB into the display itself.

you then can route another analog audio cable from the speaker bar to the macbooks speaker input to get sound specifically out of the speakerbar
