Hello!

I recently bought a Samsung EVO 250 GB SSD.

And a Thermaltake Muse 3G Enclosure:

http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/products-model.aspx?id=C_00001904

The enclosure and the SSD both support SATA III.
The enclosure also support USB 3.
But when I run a speed test with Blackmagicdesign I get SATA II speeds. (245/261 mbs)
It should run double as fast as the benchmarks i get.

Anyone have any experience with those? How can I get the right speeds?

Thank you

On the page you linked, it says that it is SATA 3 compatible and not that it supports SATA 3 speeds. So it might be an issue with the enclosure.

Have you checked the the SSD has the latest firmware?

So that means it will work with Sata 3 drives, but it would run them in Sata 2?
Really inacurate statement by Thermaltake :(

I don't know if the enclosure is SATA 2 or SATA 3 speed as they only said compatible and didn't list the actual speeds supported.

And did you check the firmware version of the SSD? If it's not the latest, update it and rerun your tests.
