Any thoughts on troubleshooting an external LaCie SSD (powered) which keeps waking up, about 30 minutes after Mac goes to sleep.
Then just stays on.
Connected with TB direct to Mac.

I am sure this was fine before the last update.
Edit: currently on 14.7.3

I have LaCie toolbox installed, latest version.
There are no FW updates.

Got me flummoxed.

Update:
I booted 14.7.2 from a clone, this seems fine and the external drive stays asleep.

Sounds like a bug in 14.7.3
Maybe 14.7.3.1 will fix this, but I was waiting a while as the previous update fixed some annoying problems, so didn’t want to break it again….. 🤪

Usually it's the whole Mac that wakes up. If you connect a USB mouse you can see when that happens. Or you can check the log files.

Yeah, I did notice when my T7 was connected as boot drive, at one point the LED was active (doing some system maintenance or something) and it woke the LaCie up, but then when finished all went to sleep.

A combination of a different startup disk and/or restarting my Studio seems to have resolved the issue when I went back to the internal SSD….. 🤪
