Hi

I recently bought a LaCie (design by Porsche) 250GB hard drive as the drive in my MBP is almost full.

I have transferred all the files over I can but need to free up more space. I have my laptop hard drive partitioned for boot camp, my question is, is there any way of transferring the Windows startup disk to my external drive, and would the external drive be fast enough.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Jake

Hi, I can answer just one of your questions; If your Lacie is FW and since it's 7200 RPM it will run at the same speed as your internal 5200RPM when you boot from it -- I've done some tests with mine -- Now if it's USB 2.0 it will be considerably slower than your internal even if it's 7200
