So this just started a little earlier today where my laptop won't recognize any external drive, regardless if it's USB or FireWire, disk or flash. If I restart the computer it corrects the problem, but at some point it decides something isn't right and my external drives don't show up. When the problem first hits, I get the following system error messages:

The system extension "/System/Library/Extensions/IOStorageFamily.kext" was installed improperly and cannot be used. Please try reinstalling it, or contact the product's vendor for an update.

The system extension "/System/Library/Extensions/IOSCSIArchitectureModelFamily.kext" was installed improperly and cannot be used. Please try reinstalling it, or contact the product's vendor for an update.

Anyone else encounter this issue and these errors?
