Hello,

I have been looking at the OWC Thunderbay 4 or miniStack STX but was wondering if there is anything else out there for external drives that are used for working off of? I don't do a lot of video, but photo's, design work, etc. I have a NAS that I use for storage, but I am looking for something that can be used to work off of. If that makes sense. Coming from a MacPro with four internal HD's and now going to a Mac Studio.

Added bonus, if I can keep a partition for my Windows VM.

Thanks

I hope you realize you won't be able to run x86 Windows on a Mac Studio. So you won't be able to use your existing Windows VM. You can only run the ARM version of Windows. Under the ARM Windows it is possible to run some x86 applications. You'll have to test to see if your applications can run in that environment.

Thanks for the reminder. Might have to keep load it up on a Mac Mini that I have lying around. Ugh, I forgot about it only being ARM based. EEK.
