Here
I have an OWC Thunderbay 4 mini which is essentially just a thunderbolt enclosure that houses a few 2.5" SATA SSDs. When I plug the enclosure (suing OWC Thunderbolt 4 cable) directly into my MacBook Pro it recognizes the devices. When the enclosure is plugged into the Studio Display the drives are not seen. The enclosure is separately powered.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

The 3 extra ports on the ASD are NOT Thunderbolt. Those are USB-C 3.2 10Gbps ports. The OWC Thunderbay 4 mini requires a Thunderbolt 3 Host port to properly work.

Ah, okay. Bummer. I thought that perhaps it would revert to USB-C slower protocol. Oh well. Thanks!
