Hey all,

I use my wife's old macbook MA700 and I recently lost my Kingston Traveler and decided to get something cool and nifty to replace it. I bought this Kingston microSDHC card with a USB reader. Got in the mail today, put it in, and nothing. So then I dug around looking for it on Finder, the desktop, search function, and still nada. As far as I can reckon, it might be because the reader is USB 2.0 and the port is USB 1.1, but I thought 2.0 was backwards compatible.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

MacBooks have a USB 2.0 port, even my 2004 iBook had USB 2.0.
Anyway, have you checked Applications / Utilities / DISK UTILITY if the card is recognised there?

Btw, what is a MacBook MA700?

Well this is embarrassing. Having never used USB 2.0, I've been putting it in upside down...case closed. Thanks for responding sim!
