I'm needing a little info and help on this one as I have never used a Thunderbolt external HD before. I have also read somewhere that Thunderbolt external HD's couldn't be used with Windows on Bootcamp. Could some folks here shed some light on this as it would be greatly appreciated. I've been in the market for a high capacity external HD and would love the speeds of a Thunderbolt HD but mainly the content that would be stored on it would be the content that I would always access and use while I'm on Windows through Bootcamp. Will I be able to make it work or would there be some kind of special mod or driver support that I would need prior to looking at using a Thunderbolt external HD?
Also on another note, is there any Thunderbolt external HD's that can run completely off of the Thunderbolt outlet on the iMac or do they all have a power cable that goes from the HD to the wall outlet? Curious as I don't really wanna clutter things up with more wires unless it's the only possible way with getting things to actually work.
