External usb CDR for iMac

Does anyone know if this will work with an iMac and osx?

the iomega site says nothing about osx and says these are usb 2... any help would be awesome.

any other suggestions for cheap external cdr's?

According to Iomega, all it needs is a USB 1.1 connection to work with a Mac. Further clarification- they only guarantee that it will work with os9.x. With out the model number (a red flag) it is hard to say if it will work with OS X.

If you look here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/compatibility/ it lists all the external cd/rw burners that work with iTunes...which also means they work with Maco OS X and disc burner. They have the USB predator drive listed so it seems as though it should work.

Its not for me. I have a superdrive.. its a friend who want a usb burner for her iMac.
