Well... hehe, I was at kMart and they were having a clearance and I seen the D-Link DWL-G120 wireless G usb adapter. It did not say on the box that it supported mac but I figured I could find a way to allow it to work... it was $19 I didn't have too much to loose. Well, it doenst work. No power light, nothin... it's detected in System Profiler under USB as... vend_device

Anyone know of a 3rd party driver or maybe a beta d-link driver? I know dlink has a few other wireless cards supporting os/x. Thanks

driver for panther, not for tiger yet

I got a dlink usb wireless adapter too. There are no official drivers for os x, but the manufacturer of the chipset developed ones for panther. There are flaws (kernel panics included...), but in the end, it works, with some annoyances (the device is often not detected after the mac wake up).

According to the forums, the driver does not work with Tiger, and there are no hints if a new driver will be available.

You can find the driver here:

I bought an airport card, so I haven´t used my usb since.

Whoa! Thanks !! I guess I have to wait for the driver to release for tiger then, I will just have to deal with the network cable running through the house for a little while ( i dont want to drill any holes right now )
