External USB files not showing.

I'm using the Yosemite public beta. For some reason an external Usb mounts, shows in Finder, but clicking on the drive only show the recycle files as viewable.

I have Bootcamp installed and in the Windows side the files are all viewable. A workaround is to boot into windows, transfer the files, boot back into OS X then transfer the files from Bootcamp to OS X, which is a hassle.

Anybody experiencing similar problems? Any tips would be appreciated.
