Hello.

This issue has been driving me crazy for weeks now… I've posted this issue in the Iomega forums and in the Apple Support Discussion sites but I haven't received a single answer :(

I have two iMacs: a new i5, and an Intel Core 2 Duo, both running 10.6.7

I have an external USB iomega hdd (Select Desktop Hard Drive Hi-Speed USB 2.0, not portable). It works perfectly fine, but only on the Intel Core 2 Duo… On the iMac i5 it doesn't mount, but also it isn't visible on Disk Utility, System Profile USB ports, Disk Warrior or Techtool Pro… o_O The same happened when I tested it on a new Macbook… the drive is completely invisible.

I've tried reformatting the drive using Disk Utility (MacOS Plus Journaled) and repairing the disk, but I've had no luck. At first I thought it could be related to a defective USB port in the iMac i5, but it's not the case as my other four external drives work fine on that very same port (I've tried the others too and also changing the USB cables).

This is driving me nuts, as I can't seem to find any logical reason why this disk mounts on one iMac but not on the other…

I hope someone can shed some light on this…

Thanks in advance.
