I am looking for a 1TB external USB 2.0 hard drive to be my dedicated iTunes media drive. I have been digitizing my DVD collection and putting it in iTunes in order to stream it to an AppleTV that I will be purchasing in the near future. The problem is those movies, even compressed, take up space pretty quick on my iMac's drive. I am not familiar with what is good/bad in the HDD industry when it comes to USB drives and such so I am hoping someone here can help me out. I am looking at a couple of different ones I have found through Amazon browsing, one is a Seagate GoFlex. Seems to fit the bill but I don't know if it is good or not, even though the reviews are great for it.
I want something that is as small as possible, bus-powered, 1TB and as cheap as I can go while still getting a solid product.
So, what's good in this market based on my needs?
