Hi,
I've switched from the internal HDD in my iMac (27", late 2013) to an external USB 3 (UASP) drive w/ a Samsung 850 EVO 500GB.
Running Samsung Magician in Windows 10, I get around 400MB/s read and write sequential, but the random read/writes are only 35k. Is that normal, or is there a way to improve that further? (I've turned off superfetch, prefetch, indexing, and write caching is on normal, as well as a bunch of other things SSDs don't need.)
UASP is active, I checked in CrystalDiskInfo.
When I had a 850 250GB over Sata II, I was getting about 250MB/s read write sequential, and 40-50k IOPS random read/write.
Appreciate any input.
