Hey Everyone-

I am going to college next week, and finally have my new iMag G5 20" Rev. B. Since space is an issue in any college dorm, I was wondering what is the best external USB TV tuner to use in place of a TV? I have used ATI AIW before in PC machines as a TiVo/DVD player setup before.

Thanks!

EyeTV is the way to go

I just bought an Elgato EyeTV Wonder USB 2.0. It's made by ATI, and it works great for watching TV on your Mac. You can even hook a PS2 or GameCube up to it and play games without having to worry about any kind of delay.
You can also get the EyeTV 200. It has an mpeg encoder built into it so it does all of the processing instead of your mac allowing you to record at higher qualities, but there is a delay that makes it impossible to use for games.
I know you didn't ask about games, but that was my main focus so thats why I bought it.
