Externally Mounting Slot-Loading Optical Drive

Hello,

I was wondering if there is any way I can externally mount the slot-loading optical drive that came standard with a 2007 MacBook? It doesn't quite fit properly, so I cannot fit discs into the slot without forcing them, and I fear it may break the disc.

the price is not the best
but it looks better than the ones I've found on ebay
