Extra Dual Screen Functionality

While I am at my desk I use an external monitor, however, I move allot. Either for simple reasons like working from the kitchen or bedroom or trips to the library or coffee shop. I always have certain apps on the second monitor: NetNewsWire, OmniFocus, iTunes, iCal, and DevonThink. Is there a way, like in spaces, to have these apps auto more over and even resize when the screen in plugged in? It can be a pain to spend a few seconds reshuffling my windows around and then only to reshuffle them an hour later. I know this is petty, but over the course of 10 times a day it can be annoying.
