I'm a 2016 13" MBP user with a paltry 2 USB-C ports and a dongle and adapter lifestyle (which is never that fun) and I'm stunned at Apple's turn about face in putting potentially more ports on the 2021 MBP. It's not a bad thing, certainly better for us as users. But the decisions, I can't help but feel, are from a company that is confused and lost in what they're doing. A company with more money than any other institution on the planet, hence, more brains and foresight (you would think) about nailing future products and delivering "a magical experience" each time and yet, they seem to **** it up far too frequently and turn about face when they face-plant so horribly.

I welcome the new ports (if they are for sure to be a thing) but doesn't it really stink of lack of foresight, or there's another tactic at play like forcing a very quick and widespread adoption of USB-C (which probably worked).

What do you think - idiotic decision or carefully played tactic? (Annoying tactic considering we've all invested many dollars in donglifying our lives, maybe for nothing).
