I'm having a weird problem in Lightroom 2 for Mac.
I store all my digital photos on an external firewire drive which I called "Media". A few months will go by, and all is fine, and I can see all my folders in this drive Media in the LR catalog.
Then, for some unknown and seemingly random reason, extra volumes show up. The LR Catalog shows Media1, Media 3, Media 5, etc... and my folders get assigned to these various, new folders. These new folders don't show up in the Finder.
As a result, LR can't figure out where the folders really are, since they all actually reside on Media, not these virtual drives Media 1, 3, 5, whatever, and I have to go in manually and find each folder on Media again and reassign it to the catalog list in LR so the program knows where to find the photos.
I can't figure why this is happening, and when I have to re-map my folders to the correct drive, it's a colossal waste of time.
Help? Anybody?
