Hi All

I tried a search, but I couldn't see anything that answered my query.

Does anyone know of a programme like Extract All, for the Mac please ?

I have loads of RARs in subfolders and clicking through to extract them will take ages......Extract All allows me to select a higher level folder to start with and it will extract all the RARs it finds in subfolders automatically.

I can't find anything like that for Mac.

TIA :)

I imagine Automator could help you do this?

I've never used Automator, but I had a quick look and it looks like it can do the reverse, but no what I need. Might just have to bite the bullet and boot into Windows :/

No need for Windows!

1. Use a Spotlight search to find all rar files inside a certain folder point.
That's the easiest. Then select them all and move/copy them to a new location.

2. The joys of Unix shell scripting or AppleScript are designed exactly for such a task.

I get the distinct feeling that most of the clever Apple coding is wasted on me ;)
