Extract wifi / VPN / network settings from a 3GS backup?

Hi -
I had a 3 GS that I sold as I upgraded to an iPhone4. I have my latest 3GS backup, but I did not restore it onto my new phone (chose set up as a new phone).
I have to re-enter all my wifi network credentials and was wondering whether there was a way/software to extract all this information from a previous iphone backup?

Just to clarify:
I'm not looking for a way to reveal passwords or even SSIDs; I'm just looking for a way to extract network settings and info, in order to transfer that onto my new phone... Not sure this is possible, but thought I'd give it a try...
