Is there any good software for PC (I'm using WinVistax64 and Ubuntu 64-bit) that allows me to extract my songs from my iPod to my HDD? I happened to delete a few thousand songs from my library, and i don't have any other backup than my iPod.

Does any software support the 6th gen iPods? Because they're using some different encryption if I'm not mistaken.

Any help would be very appreciated

MusicRescue is also very good, but you have to pay.

I just put up with the notice which appears every 50 songs you copy. All the programs I tried kept crashing whilst copying (I had to copy 9000 songs off my iPod) so MusicRescue was the only other option. I had to sit there for a few hours (whilst working) just clicking 'OK' when the message came up.
