Hello. I've used Handbrake (normal or high preset) to encode a bunch of movies to .m4v. I've been embedding subtitles into the file. After discovering how many media players out there don't actually support softcoded m4v subtitles (it seems like evey player but Apple devices), I'd like to extract the embedded subtitles to a srt or sub file, keeping the embedded subs intact for when I want to play the movie on an Apple device. Is there anyway to do this - extract embedded subtitle tracks from a m4v file - via Handbrake or with some other piece of software? All movies were encoded with Handbrake from DVD sources. Thanks!
