Extreme lag with PDFs, anyone else?

I spend a lot of time going through PDFs, all with relatively simple formatting, nothing too graphic intensive. Mostly text.

Still having issues with extreme lag scrolling up and down in Safari / Chrome / Firefox.

What's the deal here? Don't seem to have any issues with 13" MBPr, 15" MBPr, Dell AIO, MBA.

Is it just me?
