Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has had any glaring issues with OLED burn in on the iPhone 12 mini. I just paid $30 for an express replacement device because the bottom half of my screen was hazed so bad that it threw off color temp even with full brightness, and now the replacement unit is beginning to develop the same issue on the top half of the screen. Initially I thought I was just freaking out over nothing, but when I dug out my iPhone X which I used for 2 years straight I noticed that there was nowhere near as burned in as either of these brand new phones. Should I just get another replacement? Attached below is a side by side comparison of the old phone (on the left) and the new one (on the right). The one on the right already had a bit of discoloration right out of the box but I assumed it was just a lighting balance issue on the camera.

Are you using the phone at full brightness? If not, I see no point in that kind of test. Did you try rebooting the phone and putting the brightness were you would normally have it? Take a screen shot of that.

Nope. I've put it through the whole reset process again just in case it was software related. Aside from that I use the phone the most at night with the brightness down fairly low which makes it even more noticeable, and I'm worried that it'll develop to the point where it affects picture quality at full brightness again.

What’s extreme oled bun in haze ? That doesn’t look like bun in haze to me.
Its that greenish tint thats on the screen on the left. This shows up on anything that is remotely gray and actually effects the colors of non-gray items. I referenced it as a haze as it isn't related to any particular picture that I've had on my phone so far.

EDIT: Oops I did not realize I missed the r in burn, my keyboard sometimes doesn't register key strokes 🙃

Green tint isn’t oled screen burn in or image retention. There is a big topic about this in the last ten pages of the thread labeled yellow tint iPhone 12 on here about it. Many have it , including myself.

here’s the link. The last few pages and more show it.

This is not a burn in. This is the bad screen uniformity of your phone. The replacement looks better but not perfect. It is impossible to find a 100% Uniform OLED screen.
If it is ok for your eyes take the right one! ;)
