I was told to run Cinebench to diagnose an issue with games running extremely slow with my computer.

According to the person who told me to do this, normal scores are:
The 9400M should get 3500-4000 in Cinebench and the 9600M GT should get 5500

However my scores were much, much lower than that. I ran the tests 4 times each with nothing else running in the background. Here are results

What should I do?

Very Strange....

While I am quite new to the mac world, I get a 4700 ish on my open gl test (2.53 ghz, 4gb, 9600m 512) and which i know is about proper for a 9600. I know the extra 256 mb vram will help a bit on the score, but not nearly to that extent, my suggestion would be an apple store and ask about it. They should atleast give you some suggestions on what to do to fix it if not take it in for diagnostics/replacement.

Anyway, just my 2 cents...

Tim

I just did a benchmark with the 9600M and got 5682, so you must of got 4700 using the 9400M as I get 4814.

Yeah, I'm scoring low too... I'm getting 2887 for the single core, and 4894 for multiple cores. I'm running the latest uMBP (2.66 4gb 10.6.2) and I KNOW it should be a lot faster. Any thoughts? I did a fresh install of 10.6.2 yesterday, so I know it's nothing I've installed

Any thoughts?

Snow Leopard has worse OpenGL performance than Leopard.

No, I was plugged in when I did the test. I also just ran an XBench test. 74.83??? That's well below the avg on the XBench website (119)
