Its so slow i can barley even use it. Tried resetting the phone and the network. Still no luck. I went to US Cellular and they said that if you go into an area with roaming that your connection will drop to 1x to save data BUT it wont switch back to 4G until the next cycle which is on the 15th. Seriously? Has anyone else had this problem and is there anything i can do to fix it? Will this happen evertime i go into an area with roaming?

Anytime your phone reports "Extended" as the carrier, then your data will be throttled. It however, should not stay throttled once you are back on the home network (US Cellular). On the 15th, see if it throttles you on the home network, then drive to a roaming area, then go back and see if the slow speeds continue. If they do I think you need a new carrier.

Figured it out! I had extremely slow speed too, I have the iPhone X. You have to go to settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Roaming, then set Voice and Data Roaming to off. This gave me my internet back which is very strange but it works. It takes about a minute to work though, your phone should drop the 3G or LTE connection it’s on and connect to a different one. It’ll probably say “no service” for a minute or so
