Hi everyone,

I've been having some issues with slow internet service and lagging for a while on my 2010 macbook pro (facetiming/video chatting is virtually impossible). Whenever I check my speed at speedtest.net, I usually get really, really low numbers. I'm supposed to be getting 12mbps. My recent results are: 0.86 mbps for download speed, and 0.40 mbps for upload speed.

At first, I thought it was my internet connection and got it checked out by a technician (I have AT&T uverse), which resulted in a replacement of the modem. However, I'm still having the same problem. When I run the speedtest with my 2009 dell pc, I get much higher numbers, the latest being: 10.81 mbps for download speed, and 1.45 mbps for upload speed.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be going on? I tried googling this problem, and it seems as if there are other people with the same issue, but there is no common resolution. Any tips/info would be appreciated.
