I am moving between different networks a lot.
The "main" network has an Open Directory Server (OS X Leo Server).
When I am connected to the "main" network, login to my laptop (OS X Leo) is very fast.
Moving to "another" network (not having the Open Directory Server but internet connection), login to the same laptop takes extremly long.
This is not only when I am login, also to unlock the screen etc. (very anoying if you are at a client)
I guess it tries to look for the Open Directory Server and waits for the timeout, then uses the local account.
What are my options to reduce the login (authentication) time when I am not connected to the "main" network.
Any help is much appreciated.
