♦ Want to show your support for Haiti without just making a blind donation ♦
♦ Join our Eye on Haiti awareness campaign and be a part of something bigger ♦
♦ Our aim is to build a community of I Phone/I Pod Touch users in support for Haiti ♦
How it works
- Submit 2 photographs and details
- Your open eye symbolise our thoughts are with those affected
- Your closed eye symbolise that we remember those that lost their lives
- Name/Nickname/Age/Location
Once submitted your photos will be displayed on the website along with the rest of the community. You will be able to find where your individual photos have ended up on the site through a link on the App.
Once a target number of supporters have been reached, we will use the photos submitted to produce a collage that includes all of your eyes. This collage will then be publicly displayed and eventually auctioned off with 100% of the proceeds going to support those in Haiti. (Details on the artwork will be updated via our News feed at www.eyeawarenesscampaigns.com)
Why
The application industry is growing at a rapid pace, currently supporting over 50 million users globally. We feel that this is a perfect tool in bringing everyone together in support for the people of Haiti who desperately need your help. By downloading the Eye on Haiti App you are not only making a financial contribution to the recovery efforts but also physically showing those affected that your thoughts are with them.
Support
We currently have a number of household names supporting the cause such as David Ginola, Johnson Beharry and Levi Roots. With your support we can make this a global campaign that will raise awareness and donation for Haiti and for future campaigns.
Donation
We will be donating the revenue from downloads to charitable foundations CAFOD, UNICEF and The United Haitians UK, all of which are focusing their efforts in Haiti.
We will also be donating 100% of profits generated from the sale of the Eye on Haiti collage to Charity.
Eye Awareness
The Eye on Haiti campaign is the first of many global awareness campaigns run by the Eye Awareness Team.
Throughout the year we will be running a series of campaigns focused around issues in the media, in an attempt to raise public awareness and generate support and donation where appropriate.
