I just received my new eyeTV 250 and ran the auto discover channel feature. After about ten minutes of channel searching it showed about 130 channels that it could find a signal for. I could not watch any of the channels.

We have digital cable with Cogeco in Ontario, and if you just connect the wall outlet to a tuner you get all the analog channels.

After wrestling with the unit for 20 minutes I decided to go and get a cable box from our TV, ran the autoscan again. Only channel 3 came up and it was viewable. If I switch the channel on the cable box, the channel changes in the window. The quality is great and the recording look really good, but I don't want a cable box beside my computer and I definitely do not want to shell out another $100 for a second cable box.

Has anyone else got the tuner in the 250 to work? Any suggestions would be helpful.
