Hey folks.

I'm buying an digital tv receiver for my mac soon. I want to use the Elgato Eyetv software, but I don't know what is the best hardware. Should I just stick with the Elgato tuners? Or are there greener pastures elsewhere?

Cheers.

hdhomerun? I'll check it out.

Needs...um...

HD watching/recording.

Dual tuners would be nice actually :D

Nothing over about AU$250 preferably...

A question . . .

Umm, what is your Mac configuration? The only reason I ask is that I have been fortunate enough to have recently upgraded from a G5 iMac to an Intel iMac, and for the first time in years, I no longer have any fan noise when running the EyeTV Hybrid.

What else do you plan to do in terms of TV stuff - will you be watching only, or do some DVR functions as well?

I have an iMac G5, but will soon be upgrading to an Intel mac.

As for what I plan to do with it, I'll mostly be using it to record, but a few other DVR features as well.
