EyeTV and the ZephIR; can't change channels or record

I need help in being able to have my EyeTV communicate with my ZephIR Infrared device so that the EyeTV can change channels and record TV shows by itself on my Cable Box.

They're not communicating with each other at all.

Can someone help?

Yeah I actually did get it to work but I forgot how? Lol.

But yeah they definitely do work. I guess if you're not an idiot like me when it comes to these things I'm sure you'll get it on the first try.

Cool. Now I just have two other questions I hope someone can answer in the affirmative:

-Is the eyetv a good means of getting analog (I.e. VHS) video into FinalCut?
-Can video recorded by the Elgato DVR software be streamed out to my playstation via Medialink easily?

i have the Eyetv hybrid and Zephir and i am having the same problem. I can't get Eyetv to communicate to Zephir onits own to record a different channel. any solutions?
