Is anyone using this TV stick successfully on an iMac running Ventura? I used the EyeTV 250plus product for many years and it was a winner allowing me to watch and record broadcast TV in the San Francisco/Oakland California areas but it was a 32-bit product. My old iMac was lost in a house fire and I had to buy a new machine that came with Ventura v13.2.1. Presently I have no TV and want to try the EyeTV GT-U6 stick being advertised for use on the MacBook and the iMac. Before I hand over the cash I want to know if anyone else is using this product and doing so successfully on a newer 64bit iMac. Thanks!

I dont know about that particular one, but I have an EyeTv Hybrid and am using High Sierra.
I think (could be wrong) that after that there wasn't support for 32 bit such as my EyeTv hybrid...??

With Catalina I get messages stating the software is out of date.

You will need EyeTV 4 (64 bit). I am running this on latest Ventura with an EyeTV DTT on a 2020 iMac 27". Been using this on various iMacs and MacOS variants since 2010. Unfortunately EyeTV 4 is a paid upgrade and available here. https://www.geniatech.eu/product/eyetv-4/ . Not sure about your variant. Have a look at compatible items. There is a U6 listed but does not mention GT. Currently available compatible items also listed.

Ta for the heads up, Ross - but Im just gonna stay with OSX (and hardware) that still works well...and is free.

Hadn't looked lately so wasn't aware there's EyeTV4..so good to know.

I had an EyeTV in a former life, until I discovered SiliconDust more than a decade ago.

1. Multiple tuners.
2. ATSC 3.0 support, with plans to support DRM encrypted channels.
3. Watch on any platform or device, including remotely from anywhere in the world using a VPN, using first party app or third party Channels app.
4. Support for DVR and Plex integration.
5. No proprietary USB drivers to install.
6. No dongle to connect or lose.
7. Works automagically.

Looks interesting...but 'no dongle'..so is this streaming tv, or is it still using signals thru an aerial?

The aerial reception is a big plus for me - no data usage so I can get by on 60GBs a month at $40.

Related question for anyone who's using a tuner stick to play OTA broadcast TV on their Mac: are you able to AirPlay that from your Mac to an Apple TV?

It uses an OTA antenna which allows you to tune and stream to any device. The apps only access the internet for channel guide information. Other than the device purchase, the app is free. Channels third party app is a one time purchase.
